Xperia E4 two days of autonomy for the first Sony smartphone of 2015

Sony

Sony Xperia E4 is the new proposal of the Japanese for the midrange, successor of E3 that the company had made official with the submission of Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact. It is the first Sony smartphone of 2015, and introduces some new features of design within the traditional design OmbiBalance plus some premium detail.

The corners of the body are more rounded than the newer devices from Sony; the power button is aluminum and added a small frame in stainless steel to surround the rear camera. No surprise, however, from a hardware: the display is an LCD IPS from 5 “to 540×960 resolution, moved by a MediaTek MT6582 processor quad-core 1.3 GHz and one gigabyte of RAM.

The storage system is maintained by an 8GB flash memory, of which about 5 available at the first start and fortunately expandable via a microSD slot. Also available in dual-SIM Sony Xperia E4 has no support for the latest 4G networks, it has two cameras (from 5 and 2 MP) and comes natively with Android 4.4.4 KitKat. Interesting, however, the choices on the front of autonomy.

Sony has integrated a battery 2.300mAh that, according to a first quick analysis of the hardware and the statement issued by the company, should ensure a good autonomy. The Japanese manufacturer is about two days a single charge, as on the latest Xperia high-end, although it was not specified whether or not the use of energy-saving mode Stamina and Ultra Stamina.

The Xperia E4 is expected to be launched by the end of February at a price not yet announced. We will know probably more at the next Mobile World Congress.
